It is the achievement for a carver, that there is a close similarity of the man and the women when he carves a Tugubele couple. On first view, it should be obvious, that these two statues of a spirit belong together. Ponzié Coulibaly from Pitangomo was a Fono and not the best carver, but his style elements are remarkable to see the togetherness.
In a comparisson with a Tugubele couple of Sabariko Koné, it is very obvious, that Ponzié was influenced by the work of Sabariko.
Karl-Heinz Krieg found this Tugubele couple 1988 in Pitangomo.
